SALT LAKE CITY– On Friday on the Pac-12 network, Pac-12 insider and analyst Yogi Roth made a stunning prediction about Cam Rising that will make Utah fans happy.

Yogi Roth believes Utah starting quarterback Cam Rising will be a Heisman candidate this year.

Roth said in the video that despite Cam Rising going through many struggles as a young player including dealing with the transfer portal, a shoulder injury in 2020 and losing the starting job in camp in 2021 to Charlie Brewer the young passer is now set to have one of the best seasons of his young career.

In the video, Roth also predicted that Washington will defeat Michigan State in week three of the season and that Cal will have a top-rated front seven in the Pac-12 this year.

The hype around Rising continues to build. Just yesterday the passer was named a team captain for the Utes.

The hype around Rising makes sense, the signal caller returns most of his supporting cast on offense and the offensive line for the 2022 season.

The belief around the nation is that Utah is in for a big year, and if that big year is to materialize Rising will be a major part of the success of the team.

The pigskin tosser, Rising, was just named to the ESPN top 100 players going into the season at number 44 just the other day.

Not to mention the continuing hype surrounding the Ute pass catchers emerging out of training camp. Rising will also have two of the top ten tight ends in the nation to throw to in Brant Kuithe and Dalton Kincaid.

Rising will face his first real test of the season in week one as he goes up against an SEC level secondary in the Florida Gators. Though in truth, Rising gets some of the best practice throwing against his own group in practice as the Ute secondary is considered as one of the best in the country with NFL hopeful Clark Phillips III leading the way for a group full of returning stars.

Rising has great expectations surrounding him, much like the novel the young man will need to establish who he is through adversity this year if he hopes to be in New York at the end of the year.
