KSL Sports Rewind: Olympus Captures Back-To-Back 5A Boys Basketball State Titles

SALT LAKE CITY – There was never really a doubt in the 5A High School Basketball Playoffs. The Olympus Titans are champions once again.
For the second year in a row, Olympus maneuvered through the 5A bracket with relative ease on their way to the history books.

Olympus Claims Fifth Overall, Fourth 5A State Title
The Titans’ average margin of victory in the 2025 playoffs was a staggering 19.5 points. Maybe more shocking, the team’s biggest playoff win came in the championship game.
Their run started with a 17-point win over the No. 15 Wasatch Wasps. The closest game of the postseason for the Titans was in the quarterfinals, a 14-point win over Springville. They punched their ticket into the championship game with an 18-point win over Timpview.
The first half of the title game was relatively close, with Olympus leading by nine at the half. In the third, they outscored the Rams by 12 which set up a cruise to the finish line and a third ring in four years.
Junior guard Gavin Lowe was unstoppable at the Huntsman, pouring in an eye-popping 35 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Davian Lazarus and Caden Jackson each contributed 11 points.
