Northern Utah High School Player of the Week – Week 3 – Tradon Bessinger & Benji Tolman

SALT LAKE CITY – The John Watson Northern Utah High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school football player in Northern Utah. Presented by John Watson Chevrolet in Ogden, each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the gridiron. Our co-winners of the week were Tradon Bessinger from Davis High School and Benji Tolman from Viewmont High School.

Northern Utah Players of the Week – Tradon Bessinger and Benji Tolman

Bessinger lit it up last Friday as the Davis Darts took on the Mountain Ridge Sentinels in a non-region showdown. He accounted for all of Davis’ touchdowns in a 49-34 victory as he helpe dthem race out to aa 21-0 lead before trading scores the rest of the way. He completed 30-of-40 attempts for 423 yards and seven touchdowns as the Darts improved to 2-1 on the season.

Tolman and the Viewmont Vikings welcomed the Highland Rams to Bountiful in a non-region game last Friday and Viewmont was all over the Rams from the opening kickoff. Tolman was a force in the run and passing game as he racked up 218 rushing yards in addition to 66 receving yards with four total touchdowns as Viewmont ran roughshod in a 48-7 victory. The win moved the Vikings to 3-0 on the season.
