BYU Guard Kennard Davis Jr. Returns To Lineup For Miami Game

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – BYU basketball guard Kennard Davis is returning to action on Thanksgiving Day against Miami.
Davis, a junior transfer from Southern Illinois, missed the past two games due to a suspension. BYU classified the suspension as a “violation of team rules.”

BYU issued a statement on Thursday, “After serving a two-game suspension, Kennard Davis will return to the BYU lineup for the Terry’s Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational.”

Back on November 13, Davis was arrested by the Provo Police Department for misdemeanor DUI charge and possession of marijuana. The Deseret News reported that Davis pleaded not guilty.
In the two games Davis has played this season, he started in both. Davis posted averages of 9.0 points, 1.5 assists, and shot 58% from the field and 50% from the three-point line.
BYU takes on the Miami Hurricanes at the State Farm Field House here in Florida. The Hurricanes are 5-1 overall and members of the ACC.
BYU is currently ranked No. 9 in the AP Top 25 poll.
