SALT LAKE CITY – The Hercules Salt Lake County High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school basketball players in Salt Lake County. Presented by Hercules First Federal Credit Union, each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the hardwood. Our winners for week two were Maggi Hamblin from Riverton High School and Dash Reiser from Alta High School.
Salt Lake County Players of the Week – Maggie Hamblin & Dash Reiser
Maggie Hamblin and the Riverton Silverwolves went 2-1 last week as she dominated in the post. She opened the week tallying 19 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in a 65-16 rout of Taylorsville. She followed that up with 18 points and 19 rebounds to go with three steals, three blocks and two assists in a 65-15 blowout of Cyprus before notching four points, 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in a 57-47 loss to Provo.
Dash Reiser and the Alta Hawks enjoyed a prolific week, going 2-0. Reiser began the week with 30 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and two steals in their 66-63 road win at Fremont. He followed that up with 41 points, eight assists, one rebound and one steal as the Hawks topped Riverton 83-80.
