BYU Basketball Moves Up In Latest AP Top 25 Poll

PROVO, Utah – For the first time in nearly two months, BYU basketball moved up in the AP Top 25 poll.
BYU moved up one spot from No. 10 to No. 9 in this week’s poll that was released on Monday.

The Cougars are on a 10-game winning streak, their first double-digit win streak since 2011.
BYU defeated Kansas State on the road 83-73 over the weekend to open up Big 12 play.
Throughout the season, BYU has remained in the top 10 of the AP Top 25, but the Cougars haven’t experienced much movement as the teams ahead of them continue to win.
BYU is one of seven Big 12 teams to land in this week’s AP Top 25.
Arizona remains in the No. 1 spot, edging out Michigan from the Big Ten by one point. The Wildcats received 32 first-place votes, while Michigan earned 29 first-place nods from the pollsters.

Iowa State follows at No. 3 in the rankings. The Cyclones are also undefeated at 14-0 this season.
Houston remains ahead of BYU at No. 7.
The remaining Big 12 teams in the AP Top 25 after BYU are Texas Tech at No. 14, Kansas at No. 22, and UCF, which knocked off Kansas on Saturday, at No. 25.
BYU hosts Arizona State on Wednesday in their Big 12 home opener, followed by a drive up I-15 to face rival Utah at the Huntsman Center on Saturday.
