SALT LAKE CITY – The John Watson Northern Utah High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school basketball players in Northern Utah. Presented by John Watson Chevrolet in Ogden, each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the gridiron. Our winners this week were Izzy Wyaskett from Clearfield High School and Elliot Bendinger from Woods Cross High School.
Northern Utah Players of the Week – Izzy Wyaskett & Elliot Bendinger
Izzy Wayskett led the Clearfield Falcons to another Region 5 in last week. She scored 21 points as they bested the Bonneville Lakers and improve to 8-1 in region play. The win has them just a game back of Fremont High School in the region title race.
Elliot Bendinger was the force behind the Woods Cross Wildcats’ two victories last week. In a win at Alta, he tallied 28 points, nine rebounds, three assists and one steal. He followed that up with 19 points, three assists and two rebounds in a victory at Skyline.
