SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Mammoth will officially make their playoff debut in Sin City after the Vegas Golden Knights clinched the Pacific Division on Wednesday night with a 3-1 win over Seattle.

An interdivision rivalry is brewing along I-15 as the Utah Mammoth and Vegas Golden Knights will face off in round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

After the Mammoth clinched the top wild card spot on Tuesday, Vegas then clinched the Pacific Division on Wednesday night to solidify the matchup.

In six meetings with Vegas over the last two seasons, the Mammoth own a 3-3 record against the Knights with a plus eight goal differential (21-13).

Notably, Utah has won the previous two matchups with Vegas by a total score of 9-1.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are expected to begin on Saturday, April 18.

Games one and two will take place in Las Vegas while three and four will be hosted in Salt Lake City.

Utah’s first round schedule against Vegas should be announced by Friday afternoon at the latest.

What’s next for the Utah Mammoth?

The Utah Mammoth will conclude the regular season on Thursday night against St. Louis Blues at 5:30 p.m. MT.

The game will be available on ESPN.

All Mammoth games will also be broadcast live on the KSL Sports Zone (97.5 FM/1280 AM).
