SALT LAKE CITY – Transitioning into September, hockey is officially back as the Utah Mammoth announced their complete rookie camp roster on Tuesday morning.

Featuring 29 total players, the Utah Mammoth rookie camp roster includes 16 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders.
Notably, four of the Mammoth’s former first-round picks will participate at rookie camp, including Dmitri Simashev, Daniil But, Tij Iginla, and Caleb Desnoyers while other highly touted prospects such as Michael Hrabal and Gabe Smith are also expected to attend.
As for 2026 first-round pick Ethan Belchetz, he will not participate as he’s already training with his college squad at Michigan State.

Forwards: Owen Allard, Yegor Borikov, Daniil But, Caleb Desnoyers, Florent Houle, Tij Iginla, Quinn Kennedy (ATO), Miko Matikka, Andrei Molgachev (ATO), Vadim Moroz, Noel Nordh, Aiden O’Donnell (ATO), Artem Prima, Gabe Smith, Riley Thorpe (ATO), Reid Valade (ATO)
Defensemen: Reko Alanko, Gregor Biber, Artem Duda, Terrell Goldsmith, Brandon Holt, Tomas Lavoie, Max Pšenička, Dmitri Simashev, Grayden Strohack (ATO), Cal Thomas

Following a single on-ice session at the Utah Mammoth Ice Center on Friday, September 11, the Mammoth will then travel to San Jose to participate in the rookie showcase tournament from September 12-15.
This will provide each of the rookies an opportunity to demonstrate their individual growth against other high-level NHL prospects.
For skaters such as Simashev, But, Iginla, and Desnoyers, the showcase will help them set the tone as each player prepares to battle for a roster spot during training camp.

Sunday, Sept. 13 vs. San Jose Sharks @ 6 p.m. MT
