Utah Utes Insider

Michelle Bodkin

Michelle Bodkin is a Salt Lake City native who covers University of Utah Athletics for KSL Sports. Michelle got her start in sports as an intern with ESPN700 in 2013, later moving on to UteZone where she spent eight seasons writing about the Utes. Through her near decade of covering sports, Michelle also spent time as an intern with ABC 4 and was the "Coaches Assistant" for College Hall of Fame coach Dennis Erickson during the Salt Lake Stallions' ill-fated run in spring of 2019 with the Alliance of American Football League. Michelle graduated from the University of Utah in 2011 with a bachelor's in psychology and minor in sociology, both of which she uses constantly to connect with the coaches and student athletes she covers while telling their stories. While chopping up sports stats is fun, Michelle's true passion shines through her story-telling abilities bringing the how and the why to the teams she covers.
