Salt Lake County High School Player of the Week – Week 8 – Kamden Lopati, West

SALT LAKE CITY – The Hercules Salt Lake County High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school football player in Salt Lake County. Presented by Hercules First Federal Credit Union, each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the gridiron.  Our winner this week was West High School quarterback Kamden Lopati.

Salt Lake County Player of the Week – Kamden Lopati, West

Lopati and West High School welcomed West Jordan High School to Gene Plaga Stadium in Region 4 action. The Panthers wasted little time settling in as Lopati hooked up with Junior Dixon on the first of his six touchdown passes on the night less than three minutes in. West went on to pile up 49 first half points while keeping the Jaguars off the scoreboard.

Lopati threw the last of his touchdown passes midway through the third quarter before being lifted from the contest with West leading 56-0. He finished the game completing 13-of-17 passes for 349 yards and six touchdowns while also racking up 60 rushing yards and another TD in a 63-0 victory. West improved to 7-1 on the season and 5-0 in region play.
