Patrick Fishburn Leads Locals After Day One At Utah Championship

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The first round of the Utah Championship is complete at Oakridge Country Club as Englishmen Harry Hall leads the field at eight-under-par despite having a double-bogey on his scorecard.

Hall had 10 birdies during the opening day, including the first three holes, a double-bogey on 5 brought him back to just one-under, however, a strong bogey-free finish has him the day one leader.

Below Hall sits a group of five players all one shot back at seven-under-par.

BYU alumni Patrick Fishburn leads the long list of locals, however, Fishburn still finds himself five shots off the pace after a three-under-par, 68.

Daniel Summerhays, who is playing in his final professional golf tournament after turning pro in 2007 shot a two-under 69 alongside Davis High School alumni Cole Ponich.

The other Summerhays in the field and nephew of Daniel, Preston, 17, sits in a tie for 93rd after a one-under-par round of 70.

The Utah Championship can be watched every day through Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Golf Channel.
