SOUTH JORDAN, Utah – We are still firmly in the 2026 dog days of summer, but that isn’t preventing Minor League Baseball from looking ahead.
For the first time since 2023, the Salt Lake Bees will open the season at home when they host the El Paso Chihuahuas, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, for a three-game series March 26-28. The March 26 opener will be the earliest in franchise history.
The Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels released its full 2027 schedule earlier this month.

The schedule gives Salt Lake a familiar Pacific Coast League-heavy slate with a few new wrinkles, including the earliest opener in franchise history, a pair of International League matchups and a season-long bookend against El Paso. The Bees will play their third season at The Ballpark at America First Square in 2027.
Salt Lake’s first traditional six-game homestand begins April 6 when the Reno Aces, the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, come to town.
The Bees’ schedule features home-and-road series against the Albuquerque Isotopes, Oklahoma City Comets, Round Rock Express and Sugar Land Space Cowboys. Salt Lake will play each club 12 times, with six games at home and six on the road.
The slate also features two meetings against International League teams.
Salt Lake will host the Gwinnett Stripers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, from May 11-16 at The Ballpark at America First Square. It will be the first meeting between the Bees and Stripers in franchise history.
The Bees will travel to Des Moines, Iowa, from Aug. 24-29 to face the Iowa Cubs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. It will be Salt Lake’s first matchup with Iowa since 2019.
Salt Lake will see the Sacramento River Cats and Reno more than any other opponents in 2027, playing each club 24 times. The Bees will host two six-game series against each team.
The Bees will face the Tacoma Rainiers 18 times and the Las Vegas Aviators 15 times.
The regular season will close with a six-game series in El Paso, giving the Bees a fitting finish to a season that starts and ends against the Chihuahuas.
