SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – One Utah Jazz fan in Australia challenged Donovan Mitchell to like a tweet, saying he would get a tattoo of Joe Ingles’ face if the Jazz guard did so.
Ingles quote-tweeted the fan’s tweet and asked Mitchell to hold up his end of the request.
Of course, in his usual playful manner, Mitchell liked the tweet and urged the fan, Sam Johnson, to follow through.
If this tweet gets a like from @spidadmitchell I will get @Joeingles7 face tattooed on me. Love from straya 🇦🇺

In an interview with Yahoo Sport Australia, Johnson described his mindset when sending the tweet, saying he was seated, bored in a college class in Sydney when the idea popped into his head.

Once his tattoo proposal got picked up by Mitchell and Ingles, he said it was a “surreal” experience as his phone blew up with notifications.

As for what his future Ingles tattoo will look like, Johnson said it’s down to either the classic thumbs-up pose that Ingles did for team media day a few years back or a silhouette of Ingles’ famous headband moment against the Memphis Grizzlies on Nov. 12, 2018.
It may be the first tattoo of Ingles in the sporting world as a quick search on Instagram registered no results.
