SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utahns are known for two things: giving their children odd names and having a deep passion for the Utah Jazz. One family has combined both of those uniquely Utah interests.
Jazz fan and Twitter user Dustin Tycksen and his wife Shania have named their newest child after two of the team’s best 3-point shooters, calling him Korver Ingles Tycksen after Utah players Kyle Korver and Joe Ingles.
The little tribute to the “Splash Uncles,” who was born on June 11, quickly caught the attention of the Jazz’s Twitter account.

Georges Niang, who plays with the grown up Korver and Ingles was also blown away by the amazing name.

Last season, Korver and Ingles combined to help the Jazz quietly become one of the better shooting teams in the NBA. Korver was acquired in a trade in November and went on to provide valuable leadership on the team while shooting 39.7 percent from beyond the arc.
Ingles continued to endear himself to Jazz and NBA fans with his style of play last season. He shot 39.1 percent from beyond the arc in 2018-19.
