College Gameday Will Be At BYU-Kansas Basketball Game

PROVO, Utah – For the first time, a BYU basketball game will be the focus of ESPN’s College Gameday.
ESPN announced that it will travel to Lawrence, Kansas, next Saturday, January 31, for the Big 12 showdown between BYU and Kansas.

The matchup will feature potentially the top picks in the NBA Draft: BYU’s AJ Dybantsa and Kansas’ Darryn Peterson.
College Gameday: BYU vs. Kansas on January 31
The basketball version of College Gameday begins at 9 a.m. (MST) and is one hour long. Gameday host Rece Davis is the one carryover from the football version of College Gameday.
The rest of the basketball edition of College Gameday includes Seth Greenberg, Andraya Carter, Jay Williams, and Jay Bilas.
BYU was featured on the football version of College Gameday when the traveling pregame show visited Lubbock, Texas, for the BYU-Texas Tech game.

Tip-off for BYU versus Kansas on Saturday, January 31, will be at 1:30 p.m. (MST) on ESPN.
BYU has won the last two meetings against Kansas since joining the Big 12 Conference in 2023. The Cougars defeated Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse in 2024. Then last year, Kevin Young’s BYU squad gave Kansas a historic setback, beating the Jayhawks 91-57 at the Marriott Center.
BYU is currently 16-2 overall this season, while Kansas is 14-5. The Cougars face rival Utah today, then No. 1 Arizona on Monday night in the Marriott Center.
Kansas is on the road at K-State today, before having a week off for next Saturday’s game against BYU.
