BYU signee Dean Rueckert set to play in high school All-American game

PROVO, Utah – Dean Rueckert gets one more game as a high school star before he begins his career with the BYU basketball program.

The Timpview High standout is set to play in the Ballislife High School All-American Game. It will take place on Saturday, April 25, at Sea World in San Diego.

Dean Rueckert will play in the 2026 Ballislife SeaWorld All-American Game

The game will be played at the Nautilus Amphitheater at 2 p.m. (Pacific Time)/3 p.m. (Mountain).

Rueckert, a 6-foot-8 wing, will be part of “Team Dolphins.” They will go up against “Team Sharks.”

Rueckert will be on a Team Dolphins squad that also includes five-star Maryland signee Baba Oladotun.

On Team Sharks, there will be two players who played at Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, in UConn signee Junior County and Creighton signee Katrelle Harmon.

Rueckert signed with BYU last November, picking the Cougars over offers from Washington, Utah, Stanford, TCU, and others.

He’s rated as the 65th overall prospect in the class of 2026 by the 247Sports Composite rankings.

During his senior season at Timpview High, Ruckert averaged 20.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists for a T-Birds squad that went 21-3.

Rueckert will begin his BYU career next season

Rueckert is part of a high school recruiting class for BYU in 2026 that also includes five-star Bruce Branch III and Timpview High teammate Will Openshaw.

Rueckert will join the BYU basketball program for the 2026-27 season.
