Devin Booker wears BYU Nike ‘Book 2’ shoes during Phoenix Suns game

PROVO, Utah – Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker once referred to BYU as “K-Y-U”, after the Cougars hired Kevin Young as head coach in 2024.
Now, the NBA standout is rocking BYU kicks in an NBA game.

Devin Booker wore BYU Nikes during the Phoenix Suns-Minnesota Timberwolves game
During the Phoenix Suns’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, March 17, Booker wore the Nike Book 2 BYU PEs. Booker has been on a run as of late, wearing different player exclusives for colleges such as his alma mater, Kentucky; Arkansas, where his former coach, John Calipari, is currently coaching; Oregon; Arizona; and BYU.
Booker played for Kevin Young when the Phoenix Suns reached the NBA Finals in 2021.
BYU basketball players received Nike Book 2 BYU PEs before the postseason
Last week at the Big 12 Tournament against Kansas State, BYU players AJ Dybantsa and Dominique Diomande debuted the shoes that Nike and Devin Booker gifted to the entire BYU basketball team before the postseason.
“Shoutout to Book, coming through with the PEs,” Dybantsa said of the Nike Book 2 BYU PEs at the Big 12 Tournament.

Booker and the Phoenix Suns came out on the losing end against the Timberwolves on Tuesday, 116-104. The nine-year NBA veteran and five-time NBA All-Star finished with 34 points in 35 minutes of action.
The Nike Book 2 became available earlier this year, in January. As for the BYU Book 2 shoes, since it’s a PE, meaning a “Players Exclusive,” don’t expect those to hit retailers.
BYU is preparing to begin its NCAA Tournament run in Portland on Thursday when they take on either Texas or NC State in the first round at 5:25 p.m. (MT) on TBS and KSL NewsRadio.
