Caitlin Clark, ESPN College Gameday make picks for BYU-TCU

FORT WORTH, Texas — WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark was the celebrity guest picker for ESPN’s College Gameday on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Clark, a former Iowa Hawkeye great, was back on campus in Iowa City as her Hawkeyes prepare to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in Kinnick Stadium.

At the end of College Gameday, they rolled out their weekly staple of “Saturday Selections,” and No. 10 BYU at TCU was one of the games that was on the docket.

It was a clean sweep in favor of the Cougars.

Sometimes, that can be a kiss of death for a team when the Gameday crew is in complete agreement on a matchup, but BYU has won 26 of its last 30 games. The Cougars enter Saturday’s matchup against TCU as a favorite. They have won eight consecutive games dating back to 2022 as a road favorite.

Caitlin Clark on the matchup: “I’ve got BYU. I think their quarterback hasn’t lost a game to an unranked opponent.”

She then added, “I’m looking forward to the Notre Dame-BYU game in two weeks. I’m kind of a Notre Dame football fan, a little bit, because now I’m in Indiana.”

Kirk Herbstreit said, “Here’s the thing with TCU. Last week, against UCF, 11 penalties, four turnovers, four sacks, sloppy football. And now you’re gonna take on the discipline of BYU? I like BYU.”

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban called BYU the “dark horse” to win the Big 12 Conference this year. He picked BYU to take down the Horned Frogs.
