SALT LAKE CITY — With a week off due to the team’s bye, Utah enters its game week against Kansas as healthy as can be now six weeks into the season.
That point was backed up Wednesday with a mostly clean availability report going into Saturday’s “white out” game against Kansas at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Utah will again be without tight end Kana’i Lopes and offensive lineman Isaiah Garcia, who were listed as out Wednesday for the second straight game. Garcia has only played 21 snaps over two games this season, while Lopes has yet to appear in a game.
The only other players listed on the report were defensive lineman Karson Kaufusi and tight end Semi Taulanga, with both listed as “questionable.”
Kaufusi showed up on the initial Big 12 availability report of the season ahead of Utah’s game against Iowa State, but played 46 snaps in Utah’s win on the road.

A look at Utah’s opponent, Kansas
The Kansas (2-2, 0-1 Big 12) availability report is a bit more than Utah’s, with nine players listed as out for Saturday’s contest. A player who appears as out anytime during the week is not allowed to compete in the upcoming game.
Listed as out is backup quarterback Cole Ballard, who has only had 23 snaps this season behind starter Isaiah Marshall.
Tight end Carter Moses is listed as “doubtful” and receiver Tate Nagy and running back Khijohnn Cummings-Coleman are both listed as “questionable,” though none of the players are major contributors to the team — at least in a full-time starter capacity.
Nagy, however, is the team’s fourth leading receiver with 101 yards and two touchdowns on six catches.
