VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada – The Utah Mammoth maintained its defensive momentum, holding Vancouver to a single goal in a 4-1 win.
The Mammoth (14-12-3, 31 points) faced the Vancouver Canucks (10-15-3, 23 points) at Rogers Arena on Friday, December 5.

Utah speedster Logan Cooley leads the team with 14 goals while adding nine assists for 23 points. He trails Clayton Keller’s 25 points (9 goals, 16 assists) and Nick Schmaltz’s 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists)
Vancouver forward Kiefer Sherwood (12) is the only Canucks skater with double-digit goals. Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson lead the team with 22 points apiece.
Offseason trade acquisition JJ Peterka scored two goals and added two assists, helping his team snap a four-game losing skid in a 7-0 win over the helpless Anaheim Ducks.
Lawson Crouse (7) and Dylan Guenther (10) lit the lamp with two first-period goals. Ian Cole (2) and Peterka (12) increased the advantage to 4-0 in the second 20 minutes.

The Mammoth kept the pedal to the metal in the final period, adding a trio of goals.
After Liam O’Brien’s second goal of the year gave the club a 5-0 lead, Peterka scored his second in as many periods to extend the lead to 6-0.
Clayton Keller added a final goal as Utah regained some of the confidence it had skated with earlier in the season.
