ST. LOUIS — Utah Mammoth forward Logan Cooley caught fire early in St. Louis, netting three shots in the first period against the Blues on Thursday.

More impressively, all three goals came within five minutes of game time at Enterprise Center.

It was Cooley’s first hat trick with Utah, and it was also a natural hatty, which means he scored three consecutive goals with no other teammate intervening with a goal of their own.

It quickly became his 16th game with Utah where he posted multiple points.

The first period was a true masterclass of efficiency for Cooley. 5:18 on the ice, three shots, and three goals.

It was the second hat trick in Mammoth franchise history, and the first ever natural hat trick.

With a fourth added by Ian Cole, the Mammoth led 4-0 at the end of the first.

Utah Mammoth Open Road Trip In St. Louis

The Utah Mammoth look to stay hot as they begin their four-game road trip in the Gateway City to face off against the St. Louis Blues.

Utah has won four in a row, all at Delta Center, going back to the home opener on October 15. So far this season, the Mammoth are 1-2 in road games. It’s an opposite story for the Blues, who are undefeated on the road and 1-2-1 at home.

Last year, the season series between Utah and St. Louis was split 2-2, with each team winning one game both at home and away.
