SALT LAKE CITY – With the first Utah Mammoth preseason home game scheduled for Thursday night, the first phase of Delta Center renovations are essentially complete as Smith Entertainment Group prepares to welcome fans back to arena for the upcoming NHL & NBA seasons.
Approaching the 48-hour mark before hockey officially returns to the Delta Center, SEG revealed several of their phase one updates ahead of the first puck drop.

Following 143 days of construction and countless man hours, the Delta Center’s lower bowl has been completely transformed to better accommodate hockey without interrupting or impacting the setup for basketball.

Beginning with the playing surface, the floor was raised by two feet while each end was lengthened by approximately 12 feet.
This update resulted in the removal of a wall on Level three and opening the space behind the end zone to the concourse, a temporary change that will be further adjusted in future phases of construction.
Most notably, 1,100 new seats have been added to the lower bowl, utilizing the new riser system to install an incredibly steep seating configuration that will make the Delta Center one of the most intimate arenas in the NHL as fans sit right on top of the action.

Upon completion of phase one, the grand total of full view seats in the arena will reach 12,478 for the 2025-26 season as every seat in the lower bowl features a complete view of the ice.

Other major innovations completed in phase one include the complete remodel of the Black Desert Club located on Level 2 and the beginning of construction on a new 450-stall parking structure that will be completed prior to the 2026-27 season.
More than 40 new food options will be offered at Delta Center this season, including new menu items from popular Utah-based restaurants as well as new team-themed items.

Additionally, the mountain menu items and prices will remain the same.
Since assuming team store operations back in June, Fanatics has been busy preparing for the new Utah Mammoth and Utah Jazz gear that will be available for fans to purchase this season.

Beginning on Thursday, October 2, fans will be able to purchase both the new home and away sweaters for the Utah Mammoth inside the team store.
According to Fanatics, six players (Clayton Keller, Logan Cooley, Dylan Guenther, Lawson Crouse, Mikhail Sergachev & Nick Schmaltz) fully stitched premium jerseys will be available for purchase.
Blank jerseys can also be customized for any other rostered skater but will not be fully stitched.
The team store will open on Thursday at 10 a.m. for season ticket holders and then at 11 a.m. to the general public.
Beginning this season, signs and posters will no longer be permitted inside Delta Center for Jazz games, Mammoth games, concerts or events, unless otherwise specified by a specific concert or event promoter.
Additionally, SEG has partnered with Lyft to offer a new ride share zone outside the Delta Center Plaza at the northwest corner of John Stockton Drive and 100 South.
Lyft is offering new users 50% off their first two rides to and/or from Delta Center for any Utah Jazz or Utah Mammoth game, concert, or event by using code DELTACENTER in the Lyft app.
Training camp will take place from September 17 through October 4 at the new training facility in Sandy.
The Mammoth’s next preseason game will be against the Los Angeles Kings on September 30 at 7 p.m. MT.
The game will be available on Mammoth+.
