CHICAGO – The Utah Hockey Club fought through adversity to end its road trip with a big 5-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center on Sunday.
After a period and a half of straight defense, Utah struck first midway through the second period. Chicago responded with two unanswered to take their first lead but that didnt last long as the Hockey Club rattled off two more of their own. Utah lit the lamp two more times in the final period to secure the victory.
With the win, Utah surpassed last year’s point total with 8 games left on the schedule. It’s also the most points the team has registered since 2018.
The Utah Hockey Club will now head back to Salt Lake City for a five game homestand before ending the season with three straight on the road.
