SALT LAKE CITY – Just one day after the sudden and tragic loss of his father, Bryan, Utah Mammoth forward Clayton Keller is expected to play against the Dallas Stars on Friday night.
Per Tourigny, Keller will still play tonight.

On Friday morning during his usual gameday press conference, Utah Mammoth head coach Andre Tourigny announced that Keller’s father, Bryan, unexpectedly passed away in his sleep on Thursday.
“With a heavy heart, we had tough news as a family yesterday,” Tourigny explained. “Clayton Keller’s dad (Bryan) passed away unexpectedly in his sleep.”
“We want to express our condolences to the family, Clayton, his mom (Kelley), his brother (Jake). It’s a tough time for the family and we will support him in any way we can. We and the family ask everyone to respect their privacy.”
Shortly after delivering the devastating news, Tourigny shared that Keller was determined to remain with the team and will play against the Dallas Stars on Friday night.
“Clayton wants to play, wants to be with the team,” Tourigny said. “We’ll support him by any way we can. … Clayton will play tonight, but all the organization is with him with all our heart. He’s been nothing but an unbelievable teammate and his family is unbelievable. We’re all with him.”
Through 24 games this season, Keller has registered 21 points (8G, 13A) for the Utah Mammoth.
The Utah Mammoth will begin a six-game road trip against the Dallas Stars on Friday night at 6 p.m. MT.
The game will be available on Mammoth+.
All Mammoth games will also be broadcast live on the KSL Sports Zone (97.5 FM/1280 AM).
