SALT LAKE CITY – After announcing the extension of head coach Andre Tourigny, assistant Blaine Forsythe and the addition of Adam Foote to the staff, the Utah Mammoth revealed their complete 2026-2027 preseason schedule on Monday afternoon.

Following a complete offseason of additional renovations to the Delta Center, the Utah Mammoth will participate in four preseason games ahead of the 2026-2027 regular season.
Beginning with a Central Division matchup on September 20, the Mammoth will face the Colorado Avalanche in Denver at 5 pm MT.
Utah will then travel to Los Angeles and Las Vegas to take on two Pacific foes before returning to the Delta Center for the first time since the Stanley Cup Playoffs to conclude their preseason schedule against the Avalanche on Saturday, September 26 at 3 pm MT.
Utah’s final preseason matchup against the Avalanche will be the first scheduled event at Delta Center following the arena’s newest round of renovations.
As the fourth longest tenured coach in the National Hockey League, Tourigny has agreed to multi-year contract in Salt Lake City after leading the Coyotes/Mammoth through the early stages of a rebuild.
In addition to a 170-195-45 regular season record since 2021, Tourigny has provided steady progress as one of only three coaches in NHL history to improve a team’s point total in each of their first five seasons as head coach.
More recently, Tourigny also delivered on Utah’s promise of a playoff berth in only year two of relocation.
“André and Blaine have both been instrumental in building the foundation for our organization and will be critical in our continued success and leadership moving forward,” said Bill Armstrong, general manager of the Utah Mammoth.
“André is an excellent leader, communicator, and person, who is extremely well respected by our players and our staff.”
As an organization that greatly values both stability and continuity, this extension should come as no surprise.
Among the six longest tenured coaches in the NHL, four (Jon Cooper, Jared Bednar, Rod Brind’Amour, & Paul Maurice) of those coaches have won Stanley Cups with their teams.

The next notable event for the Utah Mammoth will be the NHL Draft on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 5 p.m. MT.
