SALT LAKE CITY – Following an impressive 17-year career in the National Hockey League, Utah native and two-time Stanley Cup Champion Trevor Lewis will join the Utah Mammoth staff as a video scout and youth/amateur hockey ambassador.

After announcing his retirement from professional hockey at the end of last season, Lewis has returned home and will join the Mammoth to assist with hockey operations in video scouting on a part-time basis while growing youth and amateur hockey programming as an ambassador.
“Trevor Lewis fell in love with the game of hockey right here in Utah,” said Chris Armstrong, president of hockey operations for the Utah Mammoth. “He went on to win two Stanley Cups over the span of his 17-year NHL career, retiring as the most accomplished player ever from this state.”
Spending nearly two decades in a Los Angeles Kings sweater, Lewis will provide the Mammoth with invaluable experience and expertise.
In addition to being the most decorated Utahn to ever play the game as a two-time Stanley Cup Champion (2012 & 2014), Lewis also ranks first in career games played (1,034) and second in points (237).
He is also the highest NHL Draft selection of any Utahn, taken by Los Angeles with the 17th overall pick in 2006.
“Being able to tap into the mind and championship experience of someone who cares so personally and so deeply about the continuous growth of hockey in Utah, and who knows what it would mean to bring a Stanley Cup to the fans here, is both a rare opportunity and a natural fit for us,” Amrstrong added.
The Utah Mammoth will wrap up their rookie showcase on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings at 2 p.m. MT.
