Clock controversy in BYU's win over Notre Dame + Loaded recruiting weekend

BYU's upset of Notre Dame is still the talk of college football, and part of that conversation is now about one second. KSL Sports BYU Insider Mitch Harper breaks down Saturday night's 28-24 win, the clock controversy on the final play, the numbers behind the night, and this week's Cougar Stock Exchange. Mitch starts with what the win did for BYU in the polls. The Cougars jumped six spots to No. 2 in Sunday's AP Top 25 and received 20 first-place votes, finishing behind only No. 1 Miami. BYU is No. 3 in the US LBM Coaches Poll behind Miami and Ohio State. It's the first time since 1984 that BYU has been in the top three of both major polls. BYU is also 6-0 for the third straight season, a first in program history. The win was BYU's first over Notre Dame since 2004 and its first over a top-10 team since 2018. It came on a night when five of the AP's top eight teams lost, the first time that has happened on a single regular-season Saturday.
