SALT LAKE CITY – The Hercules Salt Lake County High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school basketball players in Salt Lake County. Presented by Hercules First Federal Credit Union, each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the hardwood. Our winners this week were were Olivia Stephens and Coby Goodfellow from Alta High School.
Salt Lake County Players of the Week – Olivia Stephens & Coby Goodfellow
Olivia Stephens and the Alta Hawks girl’s team piled up a trio of wins over the holiday break. She led the way with 11 points in their 55-24 rout of Vanden (CA)and 9 points in a 50-19 rout of Layton Christian. She then erupted for 30 points as they rolled Murray 72-16.
Coby Goodfellow and the Alta boy’s team went 2-0 over the break. In a 64-56 victory over Westminster Academy (FL), he scored 17 points nad added four rebounds. He then was a deadeye from beyond the arc, making 11 three-pointers as he racked up 33 points in their 93-89 victory over California (CA).
