SALT LAKE CITY – The Hercules Salt Lake County High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school basketball players in Salt Lake County. Presented by Hercules First Federal Credit Union, each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the hardwood. Our winners this week were were Grace Gallagher from Hunter High School and Jrue Miller from Rowland Hall.
Salt Lake County Players of the Week – Grace Gallagher & Jrue Miller
Grace Gallagher was the forced behind both of Hunter’s victories last week. In a 60-52 win at Granger, she tallied 23 points, 15 rebounds and three steals. She then stuffed the box score even more with 18 points, 17 rebounds, six blocks, four assists and four steals in a 62-35 rout of Taylorsville.
Jrue Miller has been a potent scorer all season long for the Winged Lions and once again showed his prowess in three wins last week. In a 69-63 road win at North Sevier he notched 34 points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal. He followed that up with 20 points, six rebounds, five steals and four assists in an 82-20 rout of Utah Military Hillfield. He capped the week with 17 points, nine steals, four assists and one rebound in their 58-46 victory over Waterford.
