Bauman and the Highland Rams opened the 5A Playoffs against Dixie High School last Friday. The Rams came flying out of the gate as Vili Ripley got them on the board less than a minute into the game on a 78-yard touchdown run. Bauman then doubled the advantage with a 32-yard pick-six moments later and then hooked up with Ripley to finish the quarter on a 28-yard touchdown pass to establish a 21-0 lead.
Bauman’s big bight didn’t cool off after halftime as he tossed a 76-yard touchdown pass to Zamiri Vaughn and followed that up with 16-yard touchdown run of his own. He finished the game completing 8-of-10 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns to go along with the aforementioned rushing touchdown to go along with two total tackles and a pick-six on defense.
