Utah County High School Basketball Players of the Week – Week 5 – Tabi Clark & Ashton Shewell

SALT LAKE CITY – The Mr. Mac Utah County High School Player of the Week is awarded each week to the top prep boy’s and girl’s basketball players in Utah County. Sponsored by Mr. Mac, it honors athletes for their performances on the court and exceptional play. Our winners for week one were Tabi Clark from Pleasant Grove High School and Ashton Shewell from Lehi High School.

Utah County Players of the Week – Tabi Clark & Ashton Shewell

Tabi Clark and the Pleasant Grove Vikings kept their perfect record intact over the holiday break with a trio of wins. In a 90-67 rout of Esparanza (CA) Clark tallied 21 points before tallying four points and six rebounds in a 46-39 wwin at Davis. She then bounced back with 23 points and seven rebounds in a 50-43 win over Raymond, Canada.

Ashton Shewell and the Lehi Pioneers went 2-2 over the break as they traveled out of state. In a 73-62 loss to Destiny Christian (CA), Shewell tallied 17 points, four rebounds and four assists before tallying 27 points and six assists in a 68-67 loss to Eastside Catholic (WA). He then went for 33 points in an 82-77 win over Berkeley (CA) and 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals in a 71-45 rout of Mount Si (WA).
