Utah County High School Basketball Players of the Week – Week 8 – Jaycee Carlson & Dean Rueckert

SALT LAKE CITY – The Mr. Mac Utah County High School Player of the Week is awarded each week to the top prep boy’s and girl’s basketball players in Utah County. Sponsored by Mr. Mac, it honors athletes for their performances on the court and exceptional play. Our winners for week one were Jaycee Carlson from Mountain View High School and Dean Rueckert from Timpview High School.

Utah County Players of the Week – Jaycee Carlson & Dean Rueckert

Jaycee Carlson powered the Mountain View Bruins to a pair of wins last week. In a 55-52 victory over Provo she scored a game-high 23 points. She followed it up with a 21-point outing as they beat Timpanogos 72-65.

Dean Rueckert was the force behind both the Timpview Thunderbirds’ victories last week. He tallied 31 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in a 63-50 win at Salem Hills. He then tallied nine points, four steals, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks in their 81-53 victory over Maple Mountain.
