SALT LAKE CITY — Smith Entertainment Group announced Wednesday that a new addition is coming to its sports campus in Sandy.
In a partnership with Intermountain Health, a “state-of-the-art sports medicine center” will be integrated into the training home of the Jazz and Mammoth.

A press release from SEG wrote this about the newest addition to the Sandy sports campus.
The Intermountain Health Sports Performance Center, sitting at nearly 60,000 square feet, will significantly expand access to cutting-edge performance technology and industry-leading sports medicine services. Designed to serve the community and athletes at every level – from professional athletes to youth competitors and active community members – the center will be open to the public and further establish Utah as a global destination for sport, performance innovation, and community health.
Earlier this week, Jazz and Mammoth owner Ryan Smith joined the Pat McAfee show to talk about landing the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft, the NHL playoffs, and more.

Also in that conversation, the new training home for both of Utah’s professional teams was discussed.
That’s our new hoops practice facility that should be done to start 2027. Hockey is on the left, our corporate offices in the middle. Then the hoops side, this is the view from our court, with those mountains there. Our goal was to bring this thing closer to the mountains. It’s something we can authentically own. Our guys can be there and have this wellness moment everytime they come in.
Building off of the renderings that the show already had, Smith actually previewed the new sports medicine facility and said that the goal is to keep improving and adding to the campus.

Maybe the biggest takeaway from Smith’s statements on the show was the timeline, saying that the basketball portion of the facility was expected to be finished early in 2027.
