For over two decades, the standard for Utah football was set by Coach Kyle Whittingham. Now the Utes usher in a new era as longtime defensive coordinator and former Utah All-American safety Morgan Scalley takes the reins.
Though leadership has changed, Coach Scalley and the Utes will look to maintain the same “Relentless, Smart, Nasty, Ballhawks” culture that has defined Utah football.
With the addition of new offensive weapons to a roster featuring star players like Devon Dampier, Wayshawn Parker, and Byrd Ficklin, the Utes have the potential to put out one of the most dangerous offenses in program history.
Coming off an 11-win season in 2025, the No. 21-ranked Utes are prepared to make a push for a Big 12 championship and an appearance in the College Football Playoff.
The Morgan Scalley era officially kicks off in Week 1 as Utah hosts the Idaho Vandals at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
