Utah Jazz Break Franchise Record For Made Three-Pointers In Win Over Hornets

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz set a new record for three-pointers made in a game during their win over the Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets hosted the Jazz at the Spectrum Center on Friday, February 5.
Utah made 26 triples in a 138-121 win over Charlotte.
The previous team record was 25 three-pointers, which the Jazz set earlier this season in a win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Jazz finished the night 26-50 for 52.0 percent from beyond the arc.
Overall, Utah shot 55.2 percent from the field.

After a slow start to the game, the Jazz trailed the Hornets by two points at the end of the opening quarter.
Utah got things going in the second quarter and went to the halftime break with a 15-point lead.

Bojan Bogdanovic went crazy during the third quarter and broke the game open. He had 14 points in the quarter and buried four three-pointers during a 90-second span.

Bogdanovic finished with a team-high 31 points on 10-15 shooting, including 7-10 from deep.
Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell dropped 30 points as well. Mitchell was 10-18 from the field and 5-9 from downtown. It was the fifth time this season that he’s scored 30 points or more.

Utah limited Charlotte to 46.2 percent shooting for the game and only 31.4 percent on threes.
Former Jazzman and Hornets forward Gordon Hayward scored 25 points but went scoreless in the fourth quarter.
Rookie guard LaMelo Ball led Charlotte with a career and game-high 34 points and eight assists.
With the win, the Jazz improved their league-best record to 18-5.
