Utah Valley Ends Long Road Trip With Loss To Boise State

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Valley Wolverines ended their long four-game road trip with an 87-69 loss to Boise State on Saturday afternoon.
Boise State outscored Utah Valley 44-33 in the first half and 43-36 in the second half at ExtraMile Arena in Boise.
Justin Harmon led the Wolverines with 19 points and four rebounds on 7-of-14 shooting from the field and 3-for-4 from the three-point line. Trey Woodbury contributed 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists while shooting 4-for-9 from the floor and 2-of-4 from beyond the arc. Cam Alford chipped in 11 points and three rebounds on 4-for-7 shooting off the bench.

As a team, Utah Valley shot 43% from the field, 35% from the three-point line, and 75% at the free-throw line. Boise State won the rebounding battle, 36-30, points in the paint, 36-28, and 11-6 on points off of turnovers.
The Broncos were led by Chibuzo Agbo with 20 points and four rebounds on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 4-for-6 from the three-point line. Tyson Degenhart poured in 19 points and eight rebounds on 7-of-15 shooting from the floor and 3-for-9 from beyond the arc. Naje Smith chipped in 17 points, two rebounds, and three assists, while shooting 7-of-10 from the floor. Marcus Shaver Jr. dropped 15 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Max Rice added 12 points.
All five starters for Boise State scored in double figures. The Broncos had just four bench points.
Utah Valley dropped their record to 3-4 on the season with wins over Western Colorado, Northern Arizona, and Green Bay. Their losses came against Utah State, Wake Forest, Morgan State, and Boise State.
The Wolverines ended their four-game road trip, playing at Wake Forest, the Jamaica Classic, and Boise State. They will return to the UCCU Center for the first time since November 12 when they host Long Beach State on Saturday, December 3 at 2:00 p.m. MT on ESPN+. Then they will go to Provo to face BYU on Wednesday, December 7.
