Braden Pegan Gives Utah State ‘Dynamic Playmaker’ At Wide Receiver

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah State transfer wide receiver Braden Pegan will have a chance to break out after spending the past three seasons on the UCLA Bruins sidelines.
Pegan is the latest player to be added to the KSL Sports Zone Hans & Scotty G. 60 in 60 watchlist. Listed at 6’4 and 200 pounds, Pegan brings great size to Utah State.
“Braden Pegan is a long, athletic, and dynamic playmaker at receiver,” Aggie head coach Bronco Mendenhall said. “Huge catch radius, great speed.”
Mendenhall was encouraged by the UCLA transfer’s performance in spring practices.
“He really emerged this spring as someone that’s not only capable but dynamic as a playmaker,” the first-year Aggie HC said. “In our last spring practice, he really ended up sealing the win for the offense in that particular scrimmage with a catch in the back of the end zone. Long, fast, dynamic, and productive.”
About USU’s Braden Pegan
Pegan was considered a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com after a standout career with San Juan Hills High School.
The San Juan Capistrano, California native caught 72 passes for 971 yards and 14 touchdowns as a prep senior.

Pegan signed with UCLA out of high school but never got the chance to make a significant impact on the football field.
After playing four games on special teams as a freshman in 2022, Pegan made his first and only career start in the 2023 LA Bowl against Boise State.
Pegan recorded the only catch of his career that season in a game against the Cal Bears.
He did not play in 2024.
