Utah’s Logan Fano Brings ‘Leadership’ & Production To Utah’s Defensive Line

SALT LAKE CITY – Defensive end Logan Fano is another in a long line of defensive line talent for a University of Utah football team that seems to churn out performers at the next level.
Fano’s production and potential earned him a spot on the 2025 KSL Sports Zone Hans & Scotty G. 60 in 60 watchlist.
“Outstanding athlete (who) plays defensive end for us,” Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham began. “(He) can play the run or the pass equally well. (He’s) a guy that really brings a lot of leadership to the table.”

The redshirt junior played all 12 games last season (nine starts), adding 35 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. His 6.5 tackles for a loss were third on the team.
About Utah’s Logan Fano
Fano was a two-time All-State, All-Region, and All-Valley honoree while playing his prep football at Timpview High School.
Considered a four-star prospect by 247Sports.com, Rivals, and ESPN, Fano tallied 115 tackles and an eye-popping 20.5 sacks as a senior in 2021.
Fano enrolled at BYU in January 2022, before transferring to Utah before the 2023 season.

He made three starts, seeing action in five 2023 games before an injury cost him the rest of the season. Fano was credited with 14 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
