Utah State Aggies National Signing Day Commitments

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State University announced their signing class on National Letter of Intent Day.

Head coach Gary Andersen has reloaded at many positions on signing day. His staff brought in a lot of talent across the board and a lot of recruits from the state of Utah.

Ajani Carter, Wide Receiver

Carter is a three-star prospect from North Shore High School in Houston, Texas. He had 33 receptions for 495 yards and 7 touchdowns during his high school career. Carter received offers from Southern Miss, UTEP, Indiana, Louisiana-Monroe and Prairie View A&M.


Jack Drews, Tight End/Linebacker

Drews played tight end and linebacker at Ramona High School in California. He was named Defensive Player of the year twice during in junior and senior seasons. As a linebacker, Drews collected 88 tackles, including 15 tackles for loss and 2 fumble recoveries.


Kanen Eaton, Wide Receiver

Eaton is a three-star prospect from Columbia River High School in Vancouver, Washington. He was ranked the 47th best wide receiver in the state of Washington. Eaton missed four games during his senior season due to injury but managed to rack up 372 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns. He had offers from Simon Fraser and Western Oregon.


Cash Gilliam, Defensive Back

Gilliam is a junior college transfer from Arizona Western and was a three-star JUCO recruit. He is originally from Dayton, Ohio. At Arizona Western, Gilliam earned all-Western State Football League second team honors as a safety. He recorded 46 tackles, a team-best 7 pass breakups and 2 interceptions. He had offers from Akron, Eastern Illinois, Lamar and UTEP.

Hunter Hill, Offensive Lineman

Hill joins Utah State from Orem High School, where he protected Aggies signee Cooper Legas. He is a three-star recruit that is 6-6, 275 lbs. Hill received offers from USC, Washington State, Dixie State, Idaho, San Jose State, Vanderbilt and Virginia.


Oakley Hussey, Athlete

Hussey earned first team all-state honors at running back from Hillcrest High School in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He also earned the 4A High Country Offensive Player of the Year and All-Area Player of the Year.


Garrett Larson, Quarterback

Larson joins the Aggies as a preferred walk-on from Davis High School. He earned 6A all-are and all-region honors after throwing for 1,877 yards and 15 touchdowns during his senior season.


Troy Lefeged Jr., Defensive Back

Lefeged is a two-star JUCO product from Fullerton junior college. He was named first team all-conference as a safety. He received offers from Old Dominion, Akron, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Buffalo, Eastern New Mexico, Lamar, UMass, New Mexico and UTEP.


Cooper Legas, Quarterback

Legas is a three-star prospect from Orem High School. He was rated the 39th best dual-threat quarterback in the country and the 11th best recruit from the state of Utah. He played 43 games during his high school career and threw 9,770 yards and ran for 2,770 yards on the ground. He led Orem to back-to-back state championships. The Deseret News named him the MVP of the 4A classification. Legas received offers from BYU, Navy, Army, Air Force and UCLA.


Sonny Makasini Jr., Offensive Lineman

Makansini is a three-star offensive lineman from Timpview High School. He will serve a two-year LDS mission before enrolling with Utah State. Makasini was ranked the 33rd best recruit out of the state of Utah. He received an offer from BYU.


Mosese Manu, Tight End

A junior college transfer that is returning to the state of Utah. The Bountiful, Utah native spent two seasons at Mt. San Antonio junior college and is a two-star JUCO recruit.


Kaleo Neves, Linebacker

Another Timpview High School recruit heading to Logan. Neves was ranked the 33rd best recruit from the state of Utah as a three-star prospect. He had 28 tackles, and 11 and a half sacks in just 8 games for Timpview in 2018.


Bronson Olevao, Defensive Back

The Highland High School product was named 5A second-team all-state by the Deseret News. Olevao ran for 702 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns. He also played defensive back in high school. He also received an offer from Weber State.


Dominic Tatum, Defensive Back

Tatum was rated the 117th best athlete in the country and 140th best overall prospect from the state of California. The Culver City High School product is a three-star recruit had 94 tackles, including 10 tackles for loss, 7 pass breakups, 2 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries. Tatum received offers from Colorado State, Nevada, Texas Tech, Bowling Green, BYU, Fresno State, Hawaii, Montana State, New Mexico, San Jose State, UNLV and Wyoming.


A.J. Vongphachanh, Defensive Lineman

Vongphachanh is a three-star recruit that is rated the 122nd best linebacker in the country. He racked up 113 tackles and 8 sacks while returning an interception for a touchdown. He had offers from Air Force, Colorado State, Eastern Washington, Georgetown, Kansas, Army and Portland State.


Jaylen Warren, Running Back

Warren spent the 2018 season with Snow College, where he was rated the fourth best junior college running back in the nation. He is a three-star JUCO prospect that was named the 2018 NJCAA National Offensive Player of the Year. He recorded 1,435 rushing yards and led the nation with a 159.4 rushing yards per game average. Hawaii was the only other school to offer Warren a scholarship.
