Christen Press Heads In Equalizer Against Chicago Red Stars

CHICAGO, Ill. – Utah attacker Christen Press’ header was the equalizer for the Royals in the first half against the Chicago Red Stars.
Press’ header came on a pass from Gunnhildur Jónsdóttir in the 42nd minute on Saturday, September 28.
The goal tied the Royals with the Red Stars who scored in the 40th minute.

Press’ goal was her seventh of the 2019 season.

The Royals entered the match in 5th place in the NWSL standings. The Red Stars were in 2nd place when the game kicked off.
The top four teams qualify for the postseason.
