PROVO, Utah – After missing a field goal on fourth down earlier in the game, BYU decided to go for it on 4th & 1 from the Boise State 27-yard line. It looked like the Cougars would run the football when quarterback Baylor Romney found tight end Matt Bushman over the middle for a 27-yard touchdown.
The BYU touchdown came with 4:49 left in the third quarter on Saturday, October 29.
The Cougars took a 21-10 lead over the Broncos with the score.
Doesn't Boise typically run the trick plays? 😏#BYUFOOTBALL #GoCougs pic.twitter.com/SnWmToZ7Ic

Romney started the game at QB in place of the injured Zach Wilson and Jaren Hall. He was 14/23 for 182 yards and the touchdown.
Bushman’s catch was his fourth reception of the game. He had 62 yards and the score.
Oh my!!! 4th & 1 Romney acted like he was losing the football and then he threw the ball to a wide open Matt Bushman for the touchdown. Great play call. Upset alert brewing in Provo.#BYU #BSUvsBYU #KSLsports
