Krystowiak: Didn’t Want OT Against Kentucky, Needed Bathroom Break

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah men’s basketball head coach Larry Krystowiak didn’t want his team to go to overtime against the Kentucky Wildcats because “he had to use the bathroom badly.”

The Utes defeated the No. 6 Wildcats 69-66 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday, December 18.

After the game, Krystowiak told the Pac-12 Network’s Michael Yam that he “didn’t want the game to go overtime” because he “had to use the bathroom badly.”

I love hearing the stories around games you just can't know when watching. Last night @UtahMBB beats 6th ranked Kentucky. Talking to @LKrystkowiak today and he said he didn't want the game to go to overtime because he had to use the bathroom badly. #truthteller

It was Utah’s first win over the Wildcats since December 18, 1976.

Ha! That would’ve been hysterical.

With 12 new faces and 11 true freshmen on this roster, head coach Larry Krystkowiak has done a tremendous job in teaching this team about playing at the next level and doing it with wins over quality opponents.

The Utes improved to 9-2 on the season with the victory.
