NFL Prohibiting All In-Person Pre-Draft Visits Until Further Notice

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The NFL has sent out a memo to their teams and draft prospects that scouts, coaching staff and front office members will not hold pre-draft visits with prospects at team facilities or schools.
This also includes each school’s pro day. Other than the NFL Scouting Combine, most prospects attempt to improve their draft stock at their prod day where they do the combine workouts at the school’s facilities in front of most if not all NFL teams.
The move was made by the NFL because of the coronavirus concerns also known as COVID-19.
NFL has cancelled all college player visits either to the facility or to the school, per source. Only online communication, indefinitely.

The only contact that NFL teams can have with the prospects is through technology.
This will have an impact on the local prospects from the state of Utah which includes Utah State quarterback Jordan Love, Utah cornerback Jaylon Johnson, defensive end Bradlee Anae, running back Zack Moss among others.

How Do I Prevent It?
The CDC has some simple recommendations, most of which are the same for preventing other respiratory illnesses or the flu:
- Avoid close contact with people who may be sick
- Avoid touching your face
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then throw the tissue in the trash
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. Always wash your hands with soap and water if your hands are visibly dirty.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
The CDC does not recommend wearing a facemask respirator to protect yourself from coronavirus unless a healthcare professional recommends it.
