Apr 7, 2020, 12:59 PM

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz had many great plays in the month of November that could be some of the best plays of the season.

While the NBA and the entire sports world is on hiatus due to the coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic, SportsBeat is counting down the best plays of each month of the Jazz season.

During the month of November, Utah went 8-6.

Here are the top 10 plays from the Utah Jazz in the month of November.

10. Conley Beats Shot Clock With Full Court Shot

Mike Conley needed to get a shot off before the shot clock expired, so he heaved a three-quarter-court shot against the Golden State Warriors on November 11.

In the first quarter, Conley tried to pass to Bojan Bogdanovic in the corner for a three-pointer as the shot clock was winding down. The Warriors deflected the ball that traveled into the backcourt and went out of bounds on the opposite baseline.

Conley scored 22 points in Utah’s 122-108 win over the Warriors.

9. Mitchell’s Full-Court Pass Leads To Bogey Dunk

Donovan Mitchell threw a two-handed full-court pass to Bojan Bogdanovic who immediately dunked the ball for two Utah points.

The Mitchell-Bogdanovic connection came midway through the first quarter of Utah’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday, November 23.

Mitchell pulled down a missed shot by New Orleans’ Kenrich Williams for a rebound. He then jumped up and threw a soccer-style pass nearly the full length of the court to Bogdanovic who slammed it home for a 22-7 Jazz lead.

The Jazz guard had 37 points in Utah’s 128-120 win over the Pelicans.

8. O’Neale Puts MVP On Poster

Royce O’Neale put Giannis Antetokounmpo on a poster with a throw down slam dunk over the MVP during the Jazz’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

O’Neale’s slam came with 6:29 left in the fourth quarter of Utah’s game on Friday, November 8.

The forward gave the Jazz an 88-84 lead with the driving dunk.

O’Neale recorded 11 points and 11 rebounds in the 103-100 win.

7. Donovan’s Mean Cross-Over Against Minnesota

Donovan Mitchell pulled a mean cross over against Minnesota’s Robert Covington that sent the Timberwolves forward to the floor in the Jazz’s win.

Mitchell’s crossover came with 3:03 left in the fourth quarter on Wednesday, November 20.

The Jazz guard took a pass from Mike Conley, drove towards the top of the arc, planted his right foot, and pulled back to the left. The move left Covington fading to the right and all the way to his back on the court.

Mitchell had 26 points in Utah’s 103-95 win over Minnesota.

6. Conley Lob Leads To Gobert Dunk Over Nets Big Man

Mike Conley went around a Rudy Gobert screen, when the big man rolled to the bucket, Conley threw a lob to Gobert, who dunked the ball over Brooklyn Nets center Jarrett Allen on November 12.

Gobert was fouled after finishing the dunk over Allen and it put the Jazz within one point of the Nets in the first quarter.

The Jazz beat the Nets 119-114 with Gobert finishing with 18 points, 15 rebounds and 2 blocks.

5. Donovan Shows Off His Fastball

Donovan Mitchell looked like a baseball pitcher when he hit Joe Ingles with a fastball half-court length that beat the defense and led to an easy layup.

Mitchell’s 98-mph fastball came from behind the halfcourt line and found its way into Ingles’ hands near the baseline late in the third quarter of Utah’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, November 6.

The Jazz guard finished with 24 points in their 106-104 win over the Sixers.

4. The “Buck” Stops Here With Rudy

Rudy Gobert said “not today” and had a massive block on a dunk attempt from MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo during a game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Gobert’s swat came late in the second quarter of Utah’s game against the Bucks on Friday, November 8.

The Jazz center’s right hand met the basketball at the apex of Antetokounmpo’s dunk attempt and sent the 2018-19 MVP to the floor near the baseline.

Gobert finished with 8 points, 17 rebounds and one block in the win.

3. Mudiay Fakes Us Out With His Illusions

On November 18, Emmanuel Mudiay had a very nice move against the Minnesota Timberwolves leading to an easy layup.

Near the end of the third quarter, Mudiay was driving to the basket when Timbewolves rookie Jarrett Culver meets him in the paint. As the veteran Jazz guard was attempting to complete the layup, he wrapped the ball nearly behind his back to fake out Culver, who bit on the fake, which opened more space to complete the layup.

The play was started on the fastbreak when Joe Ingles lobbed him the ball at the three-point line. Everyone at Vivint Smart Home Arena was in awe after the play.

The Jazz lost to the Timberwolves 112-102.

2. Donovan Takes Flight vs. Pelicans

On November 23, Joe Ingles threw a nice alley-oop pass from the top of the three-point line to Donovan Mitchell, who dunked on Pelicans rookie Nicolo Melli.
