Utah Football Players Lead March Of Student-Athletes To State Capitol

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Utah football team led a group of student-athletes on a march to the State Capitol.

They used their platform to promote awareness around of the issues of racism.

Utah football tweeted out pictures and a message on Friday afternoon.

“Today, our players led a group of Utah athletics student-athletes in a march at the State Capitol,” the tweet read. “They used their voices to promote awareness around the issue of racism. We stand with them, and we are so proud. #EndRacism.”

The leaders on the team that have used their platforms in the battle against social injustice includes offensive lineman Nick Ford, linebacker Devin Lloyd, running back T.J. Green, cornerback Clark Phillips III and quarterback Jake Bentley.

In the top left photo of the tweet, the five players listed stood in front of the student-athletes on the State Capitol steps and gave messages.

The top left photo showed fellow football players and student-athletes watching and listening to the messages given. The bottom left showed T.J. Green speaking with Nick Ford on the left and Jake Bentley on the right. The bottom right photo showed the five players standing together with masks on in front of the State Capitol.
