SALT LAKE CITY – Tony Finau has been featured on the front page of Golf.com‘s April edition of its magazine just a week from the start of the 2022 Masters.

In the magazine, Finau and his swing coach, Boyd Summerhays, share six tips for amateur golfers to concentrate on in an effort to achieve a more consistent iron game.
- See your starting line
- Think about your torso more than your ball position
- Match your wrist up with your swing
- Reap the benefits of a short and quick backswing
- Avoid the “Chicken Wing”
- Finish on your left side
Finau’s irons have been excellent this season, despite his poor form. Finau has only been finding the fairway on 52% of his tee shots, but that has not prevented him from finding the putting surface. Finau is hitting 70% of greens in regulation.
Over the course of Finau’s career, he has always been known as one of the longer Tour hitters and one of the better iron players. His struggles have always come on and around the green.
With just one week until the start of the 2022 Masters, Finau is working tirelessly to improve his game. Unfortunately, this season has not gone according to plan for Finau who has struggled to find consistency on the golf course, specifically around the green. He has missed four of the last five cuts.
This week Finau has opted to commit to playing in the Valero Texas Open. It is the final PGA Tour tournament before The Masters, which is scheduled to begin on April 7 in Augusta, Georgia.
Finau is currently even through eight holes on his opening round in San Antonio.
