SALT LAKE CITY – The countdown for Hans & Scotty’s 60 in 60 is on. Coming in at #45 is Utah’s Jaylen Dixon (WR).

Throughout the summer Hans & Scotty are counting down the top 60 college football players in the state of Utah as voted on by the media (and a fan ballot).

“Deep threat, able to take the top off the coverage, outstanding speed, 10-300-meter guy out of high school and really is a guy that can stretch the field vertically,” Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said of his wide receiver.

Utah’s Jaylen Dixon

Dixon is a senior from Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas.

He used his redshirt as a freshman in 2017 before playing in all 14 games in 2018, including six starts. Dixon finished with 32 receptions for 589 yards. As a junior in 2019, Dixon started in three of the 14 games he appeared in, hauling in 24 catches for 343 yards and one touchdown, while the speedster added 18 carries for 111 yards and two TDs on the ground.

Dixon was a non-squad member but remained in school during the 2020 season, even testing the waters in the transfer portal but returned to the Utes in 2021. He played in 10 games last season, recording five receptions for 76 yards and one touchdown.

In four seasons with the Utes, Dixon has appeared in 38 games with nine starts. He received all-state honors at Lone Star High School in 2015.

Dixon is the third Utah player to appear in the top 60 in 60 list in 2022, joining defensive tackle Tennessee Pututau (No. 52) and cornerback Zemaiah Vaughn (No. 51).
