Utah Reveals “Homecoming” Uniforms Against Oregon State At The Pie

SALT LAKE CITY- It’s Homecoming Weekend up on the hill which means Utah football will be wearing their “Homecoming” uniforms against Oregon State.
This look gives an old school spin to a classic look for the Utes. The look features a white helmet, red jersey, and white pants. The numbers on the jersey are a vintage script outlined in black, while the helmets feature the classic “Interlocking U” logos and a red facemask. The white pants have a clean red strip pattern going down them, while the jerseys have a white strip pattern on the shoulders that also features the “Interlocking U”.

The Pie- A Utah Classic
The Utes had a little more fun than usual with this particular uniform reveal having it take place at The Pie on campus. Utah is more of a commuter school which means there aren’t a lot of “famous” hangout spots on or around campus, however, The Pie has been a staple for over 40 years.

The original location located on 1320 E. and 200 S. below the University Pharmacy is particularly recognizable due to the writing on the walls. For years patrons of The Pie come and leave their name, or some other catchy saying letting everyone know they were once there.
Family On Three
Another fun element of the uniform reveal is that it features brothers Karene Reid who was a walk-on last season and Gabe Reid who recently transferred from Stanford for his senior year along with teammate and team captain Devin Kaufusi. The Reid boys have been a force for Utah’s defense as of late with Karene locking down the center of the Utes’ defense at linebacker, while Gabe has made life uncomfortable for opposing quarterbacks off the edge of the defensive line.
Both will be looking to make an impact for Utah in the run game on Saturday, a big point of emphasis for the Utes after coming up short against Oregon State last season in that stat column.
