Ravens Announce Marcus Williams Heading To Injured Reserve

SALT LAKE CITY – Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh announced that former Utah Utes safety Marcus Williams was headed to the Injured Reserve list after suffering an injury during Sunday Night Football.
The Ravens hosted and defeated the Cincinnati Bengals, 19-17, on Sunday, October 9. During the first half of the contest, Williams suffered a dislocated wrist and did not return in the second half.
A day after Baltimore’s win, Harbaugh said that Williams would land on the team’s Injured Reserve, but the injury wasn’t considered season-ending.
“It’ll be a significant amount of time,” Harbaugh said of the timetable for Williams’ return to action.

Against the Bengals, Williams had two tackles.
This season, he’s recorded 33 total tackles, 26 solo tackles, one fumble recovery, three interceptions, and five pass breakups in five games.

With the win over Cincinnati, the Ravens improved their record to 3-2 this season.
Baltimore’s next game is on the road against the New York Giants on Sunday, October 16 at 11 a.m. (MDT) on CBS.

The Corona, California native played at Utah from 2014-16. During his career with the Utes, the safety had 189 total tackles, 125 solo tackles, four tackles for loss, 11 interceptions, 19 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in 36 games.
Following his college career at the University of Utah, Williams was selected by the New Orleans Saints during the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
The safety is in his sixth NFL season and first with Baltimore. This offseason, the former Utah standout signed with the Ravens after five seasons with the New Orleans Saints.
